The RNC (registration number plate club) is the leading club in the UK for number plate enthusiasts.
Publishing a regular newsletter and holding regular “number plate rallies” the RNC allow personalised number plate owners and enthusiasts the chance to meet likewise people to talk number plates.
The RNC also publish a newsletter with member stories, plates for sale, number plate news and anything else of interest to those with an active interest in number plates.
Number plate Rallies
Despite being a rally- the cars don’t move an inch- number plate rallies are static displays of unique, funny, rude and interesting number plates – each often with its own endearing background.
Number plate rallies are a great chance to meet and talk with like-minded individuals and perhaps buy or sell some number plates.
A bit of fun but for some a full time hobby- the art of number plate spotting involves spotting in sequence- number plates reading 1 to 999 in the prefix format.
A lengthy and intensive game, number plate spotting is a popular driving game to help pass the time and alleviate the boredom of motorway driving.
Ok so number plates are a niche item- and being interested in them does put you in the minority! There is however no denying that there are some very funny and interesting number plate combinations out there- the number plate clubs and rallies allow those interested in number plates to indulge themselves – and where’s the harm in that?
